Highlights

At the Colours of Dance Academy, there are countless opportunities for dancers to develop experience, confidence, and stage skills by performing to live audiences both on the local and global stage. Performances are limitless in size, comfort level, and location, so there will be opportunities fit for any age and skill level of dancer.

Colours of Dance Academy has performed and participated in many local cultural events, competitions and large scaled events that were featured on many public media outlets. Some of these opportunities allowed the dance academy to travel internationally in cities such as L.A, Seattle, Macau, ShenZhen, and BeiJing.

International Events

The Academy is constantly looking for opportunities to increase its presence on the world stage and has sent its performers class to prestigious engagements around the globe. Students of the Academy get the opportunity to participate at local venues and events in Vancouver from private weddings, corporate events, mall performances, and to regional competitions. The Colours of Dance Academy had honourable opportunities to participate in large scale events including:

– 2019, CCTV Chinese New Year Gala Filming in Beijing, China 舞动青春 放飞梦想 (北京)
– 2018, Taoli Cup Competition in LA, California 國際桃李盃舞蹈大賽 (洛杉磯)
– 2016, Overseas Chinese Dance competition in ShenZhen, China 年海外華人舞蹈比賽 (深圳)
– 2012, Rosalyn Mow competing in the Overseas Chinese Dance competition in ShenZhen, China 年海外華人舞蹈比賽 (深圳)
– 2012, Representing Canada in the 2012 International Youth Dance Festival in Macau, China 國際青年舞蹈節 (澳門)

Year End Show

“Colours of Dance 舞彩云霞” is the school’s annual showcase that all students are excited to take part of. Each year, students practice a curated selection of new repertoires and Chinese Minority styles to be debuted at this showcase. This experience provides students with a feature in a full length Chinese cultural dance show on the grand stage, and for family, friends and viewers to see what the students have learned over the past year. It is a spectacle that can’t be missed!
